Problem
Remote workers and developers need to access their home computers while away, but traditional Wake-on-LAN solutions require complex port forwarding, expose your home network to security risks, or rely on third-party services that may compromise privacy and cost monthly fees.
Solution
Built a self-hosted Wake-on-LAN web application deployed on a Raspberry Pi at home. Using Cloudflare Tunnel for secure, zero-configuration external access through a custom domain, the system allows remote PC startup without opening router ports or exposing the home network, maintaining full privacy and control.
