Developers and freelancers often struggle to accurately track their working hours per project, making it difficult to estimate project costs, invoice clients properly, and analyze their productivity patterns directly within their development environment.
Solution
Built a VS Code extension using Node.js and TypeScript that seamlessly integrates time tracking into the developer's workflow. The extension automatically monitors active coding sessions, tracks code changes (lines added/removed), and calculates earnings based on user-defined hourly rates, providing real-time insights without leaving the IDE.
